Day 1 - Story and Archive: A Two-Day Oral History Workshop

On this day, participants will learn the foundations of oral history practice and project design, including how to scope a project, develop ethical interview questions, and build the frameworks needed to carry out a thoughtful, community-centered oral history initiative. This session sets the groundwork for day two's focus on archiving and preservation.

Hosted by Natalie Milbrodt, University Archivist for CUNY and founder of Queens Memory at Queens Public Library and Fanny García, an independent oral historian with a decade of experience running impactful human rights focused projects. The workshop will take place at Prime Produce, 424 W 54th Street, New York, NY 10019.
